# Privacy Policy: Canect Automations

Canect Automations is an internal software tool operated by Canect Limited ("Canect", "we", "us"), 1612 Corkstone Glade, Mississauga, ON L4W 2E7, Canada. It is used only by Canect staff to prepare and record Canect's own invoices. It is not offered to the public and no third party can use it.

## What the tool accesses

To do its job, the tool connects to services that Canect already uses:

- QuickBooks Online (Intuit): reads Canect's customer and product/service lists, creates invoices in Canect's own QuickBooks company file, and downloads the resulting invoice PDFs.
- Google Sheets and Gmail (Canect's Google Workspace account): reads the internal list of invoices to be issued and prepares email drafts to which invoice PDFs are attached. Drafts are reviewed and sent manually by Canect staff.

The data handled is limited to business contact details (client company names, contact names and email addresses), project descriptions, and invoice amounts.

## How data is used and stored

- Data is used solely to issue invoices and keep Canect's bookkeeping records.
- Invoice PDFs and bookkeeping records are stored on Canect's own computers and Canect's Dropbox account.
- Authorization tokens for QuickBooks and Google are stored only on Canect's computers and are never shared.
- We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or analytics.

## Intuit data

Data obtained from Intuit's QuickBooks Online API is used only to create and retrieve Canect's own invoices. It is not disclosed to anyone outside Canect and is retained only as part of Canect's normal business records.

## Security

Access is restricted to authorized Canect staff. Credentials are kept in protected local files and are not committed to shared systems.

## Your rights and contact

Clients whose business contact details appear on a Canect invoice may ask us to correct or delete those details at any time by emailing marcin@canectengineering.com or calling (905) 206-9005.

## Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version.
